Deal of the Week: CVS - This is getting ridiculous!
I think I might be able to make a living off of just shopping at CVS :P Put together a good deal today. I spent a little more OOP (out of pocket) but will be submitting for a $15 mail in rebate from P&G and will be getting an extra $10 back from CVS from their "Beauty Club." I even messed up and left two $1 coupons for the vitamins at home because I didn't think I'd be buying them. So, here's the break down:
So basically it's like spending $14.18 ($8.44 before tax!) for $116.59 worth of products! And then receiving $21 in free CVS money! Wooooo!
Spent $29.18 Saved $87.41 Received $11 in ECB's Will be Receiving: $15 from P&G MIR Will be Receiving: $10 ECB's from CVS Beauty Club |

Fall = (Not) Frugal?
What is it about the fall that makes me want to spend money? I remembered buying a lot of things last fall and feeling so guilty about it that I made a post about it here. Although I have to admit, I love every single thing in that post. I'm wearing the hoodie as I type this, the flip flops were super comfy and worn all summer, and I've already busted out (and worn) my boots this fall (and still love love love them!), and of course I don't regret buying my iphone for 1 second! And the Pumpkin Spice Lattes? Well, so far this fall I've only had one (and it was 50% off at Einstein's because it was Friday...wooo!).
So anyways, I went to DSW last weekend just to "look." Ha, yeah right, me, go to a shoe store, just to "look." Well, I actually couldn't find anything I liked or that was comfortable in the regular shoe section (I should mention I was looking specifically for new running shoes). But the clearance section at DSW never disappoints. I found a pair of running shoes that I LOVED, that fit, and were comfortable, but their price didn't seem very clearance-y to me. I went back and forth and continued to search the clearance section deciding whether to just suck it up and buy them or not. That's when I stumbled across a cute, SUPER comfy pair of flats that would be perfect for work and I just couldn't pass them up!
I ended up buying the running shoes, because let's face it, my body needs to have good support when I run, and at one pair of running shoes per year, I think I can splurge a little. Here's a pic of the beauties:

CVS Stats: Mid-Year Update!
I posted my 1st quarter stats back in March. Here are my stats for the first 6 months of the year:
Began the year with $5 in ECB's, $10 CVS Giftcard from purchases last year, $50 CVS giftcard (from cashing in credit card reward points). Received another $50 GC from credit card points in April.
Total Spent (On giftcards): $108.24
Spent OOP (Out of Pocket): $15.07 (this would have been less but I forgot my GC one time when I went in April...grrrrr!)
Saved $392.83
Total ECB's Received: $119.99 in ECB’s
So that means I've spent $15.07 of our own money for $516.14 worth of merchandise from CVS! Woooo! How can I not love this store?!

Deals of the Week: Target & CVS
I ran to Target and CVS this morning before the Flyers game. Since it's Earth Day, Target was giving out free mini bags (some Targets were giving out samples and coupons in their bags, but no surprise to me that mine wasn't). I was kind of hoping for a regular size bag, but whatever, it was free.

This is probably the worst CVS trip I've done so far, but I needed some olive oil and it wasn't a bad price. Tom needed some more soap so I bought some with their "Buy 2, Get 1 free" deal. I didn't even have any soap coupons!

Freebies from my mailbox (and inbox)

CVS Quarterly Update
I decided it would be fun this year to keep track of how much money I actually spend (as well as how much I save) at CVS. Here are my First Quarter Stats :)
Began with $5 in ECB's, $10 CVS Giftcard from purchases last year, $50 CVS giftcard (from cashing in credit card reward points)
Total Spent (On giftcards): $56.33
Spent OOP (Out of Pocket): $4.39

Total ECB's Received: $55 in ECB’s
So basically I've only spent $4.39 of my own money for $234.43 worth of merchandise :D Also, I submitted for $15 worth of rebates so when I receive those checks I will use them as "free CVS money" to keep my OOP cost minimal. Also, I'm only a few credit card points away from being able to submit for another free $50 giftcard :)

Macy's Shopping
Last weekend Tom and I went shopping because he needed some new clothes. We managed to find just about everything he needed, which was great. I, of course, had to peruse the clearance racks at Macy's....and I'm so glad I did! I found 4 long sweaters which are perfect to wear with yoga pants or leggings. I also found a super cute tank top which only cost $3.99 so I couldn't really pass it up! After the 20% discount on top of the clearance prices, it made 3 of the sweaters $7.99 each and one $11.56.

Deal of the Week: CVS
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I *big puffy heart* CVS!! Today I went to score a bunch of free stuff (great Nivea lip care ECB deal that matches up with some coupons in this past Sunday's paper and some Pantene S&C are on clearance which makes them free (or about $0.07 a bottle after coupons from yesterday's P&G insert). Anyways, are you ready for this? There also happened to be an unadvertised Pantene ECB deal so I unexpectedly got $6 ECB and I also received a $3 ECB from the magic coupon machine (I'm assuming for my Winter spending?). Spent $3.42 ($1.25 before tax) put this on a giftcard I had from previous purchases so $0 OOP

Deal of the Week: Post Christmas Shopping
I can't believe I never knew about this before. At Target, (almost) anything that has "Christmas" or "snowflake/winter" themes on it goes on clearance with the rest of the holiday items. I went yesterday to peruse the 70% off items and thought I would check the "regular" aisles becaues I heard not all of the clearance stuff will be in the Holiday section nor will it be clearly marked. I decided to scan a couple of items and I'm so glad I did! The plates scanned at $0.89 each and I had two $0.75 off coupons I could use with them. The aluminum foil also scanned for $0.89 and I had a $1.25 off coupon that adjusted down to $0.89 for free foil! So, total spent $0.28!!
