Weekly Savings: CVS and Dominick's

Woo! Another awesome week :) I forgot to scan my "Green Bag Tag" at CVS....after every 4 scans you earn $1 in ECB's. Bummer. The Dominick's trip would have been better but the 4 gallons of milk put us over the top. Whatever, milk was cheaper at Dom's this week than Aldi. Also, they charged me $1.99 each for the avocados when they were supposed to only be $1 :( Oh well, you can't win them all ;)

CVS

Spent $6.87($4.69 before tax!)
Saved $45.24
Received $11.50 in ECB's!!

Dominick's

Spent $29.52
Saved $31.46

Weekly Savings: Saved more than we spent even with beer!

Whenever we would buy beer at Publix I would take it out of the equation because it always messed up my savings ratio. However this week at Domick's we still managed to save more than we spent, even with a 6 pack of Sam Adam's and a 6 pack of Hamm's. Of course, the percentage would have been better without the beer, but oh well.

Dominick's

Spent: $37.70
Saved: $48.01

We also went to Aldi to stock up on milk and key lime waters. Not too bad of a week!

Retail Therapy

When my friend came to visit a few weekends ago, the weather was miserable...so we decided to do a little shopping to cheer us up. We went to Banana Republic, which I love, but think most items are a tad overpriced. Fortunately, they were having an extra 40% off all sale items before 1pm. It was a close one considering we finally got through the giant line to the register at 12:55! I would have easily put everything back though if we wouldn't have gotten the extra 40% off, which I felt pretty good about.

I didn't buy much, but I did save a lot! I bought a nice gray shirt for work, a fun flowy sleeveless shirt for summer, and a 2nd pair (but different color) of gray pants for work (I have the same style but in navy blue and I love them!)

Spent $52.18
Retail $144

Weekly Savings: Free is Better!

Our regular shopping deals haven't been that great lately. So boring, in fact, that I didn't even take a picture! We spent $50 at Dominick's and saved $31...not too great. On the other hand, I ran into Jewel this week to "buy" a few things that ended up being free after coupons. I bought 6 boxes of pasta, 8 Fuze drinks, and 2 Propel drinks.

Spent: $0.75 (Yes...as in seventy-five cents!)

Saved $29.99!!!!

I also swung by Target and paid $1.99 (plus tax) for the items pictured below! Not a bad week!

Weekly Savings: Everything for Free!

This week was a bit hectic again...we had friends in town last weekend so we didn't really do any shopping, then we had more friends in town this weekend so again, we didn't have time to do much shopping. I had a few "Free" coupons for various items that were expiring soon, plus a B1G1 free coupon (that I paired with a B1G1 free sale), so I got everything below for free! Just paid tax!

Weekly Savings: Target trip

This week was a bit of a blur! We had friends from out of town visiting this weekend so we were pretty busy all week. Went to Dominicks and Aldi (no pics) and I ran to Target for a good deal. Spent $46 at Aldi, spent $29.58 at Dom's (only saved $22.91!!) and drumroll please......

Target

Spent $15.55
Saved $23.15
Received $5 Target gift card, 2 booklets of coupons with $30 in coupons EACH!
